Is the Nissan's Security System reliable?

I'm thinking about installing a new alarm for my car, but the car has its own system, can i trust in this system or is it better to buy a new one (aftermarket)?

The one that came stock gets the job done, I know this because when I first bought the car I set it off and couldn't turn it off. But I too am going to be purchasing a new alarm, simply because the stock one is too basic.

My car was stolen with the stock alarm system. It doesnt do crap if any nissan key will start your car because your ignition cylinder is worn out. Get a real alarm.

what are you talking about?

for any of us to help you you need to make some kind of sense.

are you talking about the door codes? GXE?
i thought they were under the dash on the pass side.

Get a real alarm. If you don't feel like spending a lot of money, just get a cheap 1-way alarm without the fancy LCD remote. If you want to save on installation, just install it yourself.

you know that no matter what alarm you have if someone wants your stuff or your car they will just take it. Nobody ever listens to car alarms now a days anyway. People will just ignore the beeping and that is that.
