help: dead injector? newbie question

Ever since I came home from a trip to Washington (from Utah), my car has not been as strong as before the trip. That was four months ago. Last night as I was coming home from a friend's house that was not even five miles away, the car got worse. I slowed to make a lefthand turn and when I tried to speed up after the turn, the car had like half the power as before.
I drove it to school this morning and I don't have enough power to get above 60 mph!!!! What to I do to diagnose the problem??

would that be the only cause (dead injector) that makes it run sooooo bad? Is there anything else?

Why is it that no one ever want to admit that their injectors have failed

Maybe not the ONLY cause, but it is the most likely one.

because they are such a pita to deal with. granted they are only $90 each for brand new oem ones, but the fact that you might as well replace other things in there, makes it a pretty expensive job. You can't go through all that and just replace 1 injector. 6 injectors x $90 = $540 PLUS insulators, rings, might as well do knock sensor while in there ($160)..it all quickly adds up.

oh yeah...I am in denial as well, and I am currently driving on 5 cyls. to be confirmed tonight.

all right. I replaced my "dead" injectors with new ones and the car is still a dog. It responds a little better, but it is still running sooooo bad. I replaced the fuel filter, cap, rotor, spark plugs and pvc valve.......nuthin! The ECU gives me no error codes. what else could be my problem?
