Need help, diagnosing random engine cut off

This problem could be dangerous. This problem happens only when I'm driving. If step on the gas a bit more for more power the car would not respond. Then the tach would rev from 2000 to 2500 and back down to 2000 then up to 2500. It stops if i let off the gas. It get better.....sometimes it would "freeze up", no throttle response, soon after the rpms drop to 100 then die. The funny thing is that when it dies, it would start right back up like nothing happened. What heck is going on, is my max possessed? seriously guys this can be a real bad problem if i'm driving on the highway or something. HELP

For the dying problem check and or replace the engine control relay and your ignition coil relay (same type, green and on each side of engine compartment)

The relays cost me 18 bucks each. Probably any auto parts store but mine came from Advance. Buy one and put it in, drive around and if the problem is still there replace the other one. It fixed mine and I had a very similar problem--died like you turned the key off but would start right back up.

I vote that coil packs are the main problem...

mine stopped when I replaced my rear coil packs. Everyone seems to have different problems, though.
