New owner needs assistance...

I am now the proud owner of a 93 Max. One problem... it needs a little work. I can't seem to find axles(both sides) for Man, ABS, LSD. I also have a defunct Bose system I need to replace. Any ideas on quality sound with a tight budget? No WalMart crap. Thanks in advance for any input.

for decent sound, you can pick up some Pioneer speakers for about $50-60 a pair and a head unit for about $100. that'll have you pu and running for about $230 when everything is said and done. not bad.

for the axles, check with NAPA, autozone, oriellys, etc etc. last time I bought them from orielly's, they could get them, but they were special order and took a week to get. a year and a half ago, they kept them in stock. grrrr.

Make 100% sure you compare the axle splines that enter the tranny on the driver's side. Non-lsd axle = shorter lsd axle = longer. You do NOT want to put the wrong axle in. DAMHIK

tight budget and "no walmart" crap doesnt mix.lol
-i spent about 90 bucks on all my speakers, audiobahn, 6inch(3way) in front doors. and 6x9 4 way in the rear, *great sound quality. then my headunit was 300 bucks, kenwood mp3 crazy lookin thing.(over-kill for the nomal driver) i didn't pay a dime, it was a gift from all my best friends
-so, the only way your going to get good stuff with out spending alot money is, getting other ppl to pay for it
- the bose system was great but didnt last me long... amps/ speakers started die the first year.

WELCOME to the ORg.
