Do you think a transmission coming with 92 SE (24 valves) can fit a gxe engine? n/m

I've heard a couple people say yes, but I don't believe they will. especially if you're going from 5 speed to an auto. the auto tranny has its own ECU from the engine, and you'll need all that mess too. an auto to 5 spd swap would be slightly easier in that aspect, but then again you've got to do the modifications to get the clutch pedal and hydraulics installed.

The other problem is the bellhousings.. the VE and VG are completely different engines, and I'm not sure if they'll even bolt together. of course this can also be fixed with a $$ trip to a machin shop. lotsa hot rodders have custom bellhousings made to fit weird engine/tranny combos. good luck.

It would probably be cheaper, and better, to get the original GXE transmission rebuilt by Level 10.
