So for the passed 3 days my car has been running like absolute crap, its bogging ,hesitating , idling ruff and its a big mess, accelerating was jumpy at best and it would sound like it was missfiring, it woudl shudder at highway speeds when coasting or accelerating at partial throttle , so all of this i finially decide to bring it to the shop......well of course its not doing a thing when the mechanic has it, now im trying to explain to them that it was so bad that my car practcially came to a stop on a local road and i almost had it towed it was so bad. So now its working fine and they cant fix anything unless they have a problem, what on earth could make such a severe problem vanish into thin air like that. i just had work on my O2 sensor wiring done, but other then that nothing has been touched....im really confused and worried......wahts going on? i just find it hard to belive that whatever it was is now gone and wont come back.....

Sometimes these cars are possessed!

My fog lights did that when I first bought the car. One light blew, a few days later the other would. Replace the bulbs, then the fuse would blow, replace it, another light, then the other light then the fuse would blow again. Replaced it all agian, then they wouldn't come on! I checked wiring, nothing! Took it to an electrical shop, they said it was probably a short "somewhere." Then one day they came on and I've not had a problem since, that was a year ago! Go figure! As far as what you've experienced, had you washed your engine or anything. Water in the distributor maybe or a crack?

i have had the same exact symptoms before...it was there then it vanishes...there and vanishes...i attributed it to maybe bad gas or water in the gas but 2 weeks ago it came back for an hour and then vanished again...no idea what the problem is or was....if you find out lemme know cause im pretty damn curious

Fuel filter, possibly a sticking EGR valve.
You should bring it in for diagnostics at a nissan dealership they are the only ones who can do proper diagnostics with the consult tool.
could also be an injector, have you had any work done on the injectors? A power balance test will show right away if any are bad.

True... True...

Mine has done that for about 6 months, thought my ignition system was mmessed up turns out my TORQUE CONVERTER is locking up but there is a seperate part ot the computer that tells the transmission what to do and dude at the dealership said it would be logical to buy a $300 computer part before a $1500 tranny rebuild. Anyway I found out my mystery so good luck on yours.

Well thats definatly what it was, the head temp sensor and the harness attached to it, the harness was rusted out and the sensor was bad. parts and labor $150 not too bad and its running like it should

When I got my max, one thing I did was check/clean all conectors and grounds. Its an old car now and its just apart of maintaining it.

okay, I am glad that it is not my own car that is possessed. I will have to take it down and see what is up. Thanks for the info, and being a guinea pig for the rest of us.
