Wiper Refills to replace Bosch's

I've been using Bosch wiper refills for years and now find out that Bosch has gotten greedy and won't sell refills anymore; only complete Blades (refill and wiper arm you already own). What is the best alternative for wiper refills for the Maxima? I live in Seattle so a good wiper is essential and up until now Bosch has been the best, but I won't support them anymore. AnysSuggestions for good wiper refills that don't expect to sell you parts you don't need?

most companies have stopped selling refills because:
a. too time consuming to change only the rubber rather than the assembly
b. more profitable to sell the assembly
c. liability from being sued by idiots who can't install refills

As of a couple years ago, I have stopped buying refills and instead buy whole assemblies for three reasons:
1) The whole assembly is generally not that much more money.
2) The assembly itself gets worn looking and also seems to get weak over time in it's ability to hold the wiper tightly against the glass. Buying the whole assembly protects you against poor wiper performance.
3) I can never seem to remember where I bought wipers the year before (that's from old age you know) and therefore am never at a location that sells the same brand that I have currently on the vehicle.
Just my opinion...

If you have to buy the whole blade anyway, start out with Napa. They are Trico blades and they are awesome. Perfectly clear and decent life. Plus, they sell refills to fit them. I change my blades every 6 months are so. It's just that important to be able to see perfectly. Think of it as changing your toothbrush periodically. You don't have to, but it gets gross if you don't. Splurge. It's your safety... as well as ours.

I wait until someone puts them on sale. I bought "Exact Fit" wipers a few weeks ago from Bi-Mart for $4.99 each on sale, regular $8.99 I think. That was the cheapest I had seen them, though. I didn't price any at NAPA, I just happened across the sale and scooped some up. Good thought though.

At the display, they also have refills for I think $2.99, but it is more of a PITA to replace the refills, IMO. Plus, I think Knight4 was right that the older assemblies probably aren't as good.
