Replacing injector. Have couple questions.

Sup guys,

So I'm in the middle of replacing injector. I took off intake manifold and fuel rail, and now I need to get a replacement injector.
Is it really ok to get used/remanufactured injector or is it better to get a new one?
And another question. I noticed that there is oil in the intake manifold. What does it mean? Is it a problem with head gasket? Or anyting else?

I would buy new injectors,The reman ones do not last very long. I little bit of oil in the intake manifold is normal.

If you have the cash, go for the new one. If not, a afterkmarket (bosch) should work fine for a long time.

As already said, oil in the intake manifold is normal. Atleast in all the manifolds I have pulled.

Bosch is OE
Don't bother with the remans I've experienced a 50% defect rate on them (possibly more)
Heck I've replaced 7 injectors on my car so far

I sell new injectors
if you need more than one let me know, so I can adjust the price for ya.

Go for the new ones. It isnt worth the headache to have to do the job again and then have to pay for the new one cause the reman went bad.

Thanks for the advice guys. So the common opinion is to go for the new injector.

Is it ok to replace one injector only (I have only 1 failed) or should I replace all of them at once? Because I heard that if one failed then others will go soon. What do you think?

If you can afford to fix them all that would be best. but its pretty expensive.

you can replace just 1 at a time, but you are much better off replacing all 6 at once if you are paying someone to do it

Oil in Intake

If you have a lot of oil in the intake it might be from a stuck PCV. While you're doing the injectors replace the PVC (it's cheap).

Actualy I'm doing it myself. So labor cost is not a big issue (it still is however )

I've replaced PCV recently. It shouldn't be the issue.
Thanks anyway.

most definatly if you have the cash replace all 6 now. if you just replace one, who knows when the next one is going to go, then you have to do all the labor over again. of course its not that difficult of a job, just you dont want to be doing it 6 times as each injector fails

If you are doing it by yourself then replace the bad one. Just test the other ones and make sure they are in spec. It is the dif between a $115 job and $690 job. (prices ala internetautomart) Which one would you rather do?

It's really awesome price. But it's not my case though. I can't afford to replace all 6 injectors now.
