Spindle Replacement

I've been going through wheel bearing quite often and I think the spindle is screwed. Is there any place that just sells the spindle or do I have to purchase the whole axle ( Front Right )?

umm, did you ever replace the wheel hub while you were changing the bearing? often the hub goes bad and takes the wheel bearing out with it. if you just replace the bearing, then you don't get anywhere...

you can pick up used spindles at a junkyard for about $50 a side and just swap them into your car. make sure you get one off a 92-94 SE model though- the axles are different diameters on the VG cars.

when i first got the car, the person selling to me said they thought the tie rod was going...until I got it up on the rack and checked everything out my right wheel had ALOT of free play in it. So I changed the bearing not even thinking about anything else..."dumbass"! so when that one went bad after about 3 months I figured I just changed it incorrectly, but how hard is it to screw up changing one right? So changing the whole package (hub/spindle/bearing) should solve the problem?

Torque

Just make sure you torque everything down to spec.

if it is a back wheel bearing your supposed to snug it down, back it off then tighten to 5lb/ft (as tight as you can get it with your fingers, maybe a little more) if your getting them too tight, youll be going through them weekly...

edit: drive wheel bearings, (front) need to be tightened to 200lb/ft or more
