Winter overhaul

I am putting in an entirely new system in my ride over the holidays and I had a few questions. I have already installed my HU, and have purchased my subs, but the problems lie with in the component speakers. I plan on putting in Kenwood 6 3/4 in the rear, but for the front i'm clueless. Most 4 and 4x6 speakers suck so are there any other options for the front mounts. Suggestions and opions will be greatly appreciated.

buy a speaker pod from james92se so you can mount 6.5s up front. it's a direct bolt on. i just changed my 4x6s to some 6.5s not too long ago.

You should try to get seperates and the best ones you can afford. The sound out of the front speakers is more important than out of the rear. I would suggest you look into Diamond Audio, Focal, CDT, MB Quart. Personally, I also like Eclipse, Infiniti Kappa Perfects and high end Boston Acoustics. Sound is up to your tastes, but these companies make excellent components. I would also recommend powering the front speakers with something other than the HU.

Definitely go for 6.5s and get some speaker pods from James92SE.

he posted in this thread somewhere. Just go to his name and send him a PM. I have some speaker pods James made and they are sweet. I think he charges around $35 for them. You need to check with him, though. Well worth it. They fit perfectly, with no hassle.
