"Flip Flop" Trunk

Has anybody done it to their car? It might seem a bit stupid, but I had an idea to make design it with hydrolic struts. So when you pop the trunk, it will go up to the "flip flop" position. I just need to know how people fabricated the trunk to the "flip flop" position manually.

Thanks.

It wasn't even cool then unless you drove a civic with a big aluminum wing on it.

i did it but removed it a couple days later because the trunk did not set correctly, i think it would be cool to see if you could do it and make the trunk set flush, i didn't want to do much modification to the trunk so i'm sure thats part of the reason it didn't set perfect. i'm sure if you serious about it it will come out fine.

what happens when it rains and theres water on the top of the trunk lid, doesnt it roll off and into the trunk when its flip flopped? It would be pretty cool with the hydros...i just dont know if it would be realistic

yea, it does look like the water would run off into the trunk......guess you would have to live somewhere where it doesn't rain

What the heck is the "flip-flop position"? That white Max looks like it has a gullwing trunklid.
