I have a 1989 Maxima that i just accuired. And i hate the steering wheel. Is it possible to out a 93 or 94 steering wheel on my maxima even if the new one has an airbag and still have the horn and cruise control buttons work.

I am pretty sure the steering wheel will fit, but you will not have any airbag capability. I don't know about the cruise buttons, either, since they are on the side of the airbag wheel and mounted in the spokes of the non-airbag wheel. There is a non-airbag four spoke steering wheel found in the 92 Maxima (don't know what other years) and you can use a nice three spoke one from a non-airbag 240sx (89-92) or 300zx (90-92).

 

They will work you just need to use the centre "spinner" out of a 92-94 (its a round plastic piece that spins with the steering wheel). You MAY also have to use a centre cluster (the thing that the turn signal arm and wiper arm screw into). You may want to look at a wheel out of a 240sx.

i have an 89 240sx wheel, black leather, been conditioning since i got it, but im pretty stuck on it, you'd have to offer a pretty penny for it..
