old issue, we all have it

I cant find that thread we had about the stalling, humping issue we have around 2k rpms..... I haven't had it happen to me since the end of summer...I forget what I did, I know I cleaned all the connections under the hood and stuff. But one day it stopped and I haven't seen it again. Was wondering if anyone else has got theres to go away. Or maybe this stalling/humping issue has something to do with outdoor temp as well. Maybe being that its cold out something is different that makes the car run right, and not stall/hump...

I had a bad rear coil pack.

I also tried replacing the following to no avail before finally replacing the coil pack:

Fuel Filter
Spark Plugs
Cam Sensor
Throttle Position Sensor
ECU
Ignitor
MAF sensor

Just save your lunch money and buy some.

Mainly seems to be coils. I know with Chris he changed almost everything lol. Same thing with a number of other people. I dont know if Jeff got his to stop.

Personally I've never had it happen to my cars, but have seen 4 local cars that have.

tape doesn't work. It's the stuff inside the coil packs that are flucked. Mine was a rear one that had no cracks on it.

I did have a cracked one up front and it caused the car to idle rough. When Shawn taped it for me at a meet it smoothed out the idle. I since have replaced it.

Can someone please clue a newbie in, my max seems to do this at low rpm as well. What are the coil packs, where are they, and where can I find replacements?

We need to know what car/engine you have. The VG engine doesn't have them, the VE and later ones do. They sit right on top of the spark plugs. No spark plug wires as such and no distributor. They can be found at parts stores, dealers and salvage yards.

Coil packs apply only to the VE (24 valve motor).
there is one per cylinder, and I sell replacements.
