In my research for buying a hi-perf. exhaust system I have come across two major players, Cattman Performance and WarpSpeed Performance. I have tried to get some specs/prices on each. I am looking for the stainless stell Y Pipe, 2.5" cat. conv., and the 2.5" B Pipe that runs to the muffler (I'll be using my OEM muffler for sound reasons). Apparently, WarpSpeedPerformance sells this for $680.00 to members of the forum and I'm not sure what Cattman charges (I know they charge $400.00 for the Y-Pipe alone), so my question is....which one gives the absolute best performance and reliability?

just as an FYI cattman only carries the Y...nothing else...

i went with the WSP Y (debated about the cattman for a long while) for the price...WSP seems to be the way to go...

I guess it would make sense to buy an entire exhaust system from one source. Will it still be sensible if I keep the OEM muffler for sound reasons?

you don't necessarily have to stay with one source. it all depends on how much you want to spend and what kind of quality you are looking for...and yes it is VERY sensible to keep the OEM muffler for sound reasons...many do the same thing...check your mail..

Okay, I'm going to go ahead and order the Y-Pipe, 2.5" cat conv, and 2.5" B-Pipe from WSP for my Max next week (have to cash in some bonds) as well as a CAI and hi-perf. ECU chip from JimWolfTechnology. Now the problem is finding someone to put all of this on for me since I am not mechanically inclined at all and neither are most of the mechanics around here that only do Chevy trucks! Realistically, how much of a gain should I get with all of the the above mods. Mine is a 92 SE auto.
