Yea I have a new clutch in there like maybe 10k miles. Recently my pedal goes all the way to the floor before I can shift. Someone help me diagnose it. I thought maybe the clutch master cylinder? It really stinks because this is my daily driver and I need this car for work. Some please help me out. Email me at Jetman7060@charter.net or call me at 314-596-1929. Thanks u guys!!!

Try bleeding the clutch really well. Do you have fluid in there? Sounds like air in the lines maybe, or your slave could be going out.

Make sure the lines are not pinched or anything nutty also.

Just check around the slave cylinder for any fluid/leaks.

To bleed the clutch is pretty easy, especially with two people.

Have one person in the car and the other with a wrench around the slave cylinder bleeder valve. Have the person pump the clutch 5x and then hold the clutch, then you open the valve and let it squirt out (better to use a brake bleeding hose to notice when the air bubbles stop) and keep repeating until all the air bubbles are out, it is pretty much like bleeding brakes.

Yea I went out there and there wasn't much fluid in there. I filled it up and it was a lot better and didn't go to the floor. The thing is I swore I filled it up a while ago??? Which one is the bleeder valve? Pics?

follow the lines from the MC down to the distribution block (or whatever its called) and you will see a bleeder screw there. There is also one on the SC.

If its low on fluid it had to go somewhere.

I had a similar problem when I first got my car. I would push the clutch in and it would go to the floor after it had been sitting and not pushed. After pulling it back up it would work fine until it sat for a few seconds.

I went ahead and got the MC and SC because they were cheap (like $45 for both or something). Turns out it was the MC because when I took it off it had fluid behind it where it had been leaking from the seal. I replaced the SC while I was at it just for the heck of it because I have read about them going out way too often.

for those that may be reading and dont know MC=master cylinder SC=slave cylinder in this post.

Just what Mike said...follow it down. You could also have a line bleeding fluid out, that was happening to my 4th gen. Get a new SS line from derrick, $25 shipped.

i had same problem over the summer. in my case it was both the line leaking and the SC was shot. replaced them both. problem went away.
