What makes MAF go bad?
I mean, (thank God, knock on wood) my 92 GXE has had no problems since car was new, my '97 Pathfinder's VG33E didn't have this problem to 110k miles, and then,
my 2001 Pathfinder's VQ35DE at 62k miles gets a bad MAF... Was this because I wasn't as religious in replacing my air filter as I was in oil changes?
Also, what do you people think about the VQ40DE? I was going to sell the 3rd Gen max and get a new car, but my wife and I love our 3rd gen, so we are thinking of selling the 2001 Pathfinder for the 2005... Can't get rid of Maximas, no sir...

Q.:Why is the cat scraping? (A:lowered springs of course)
Resistors die because of:
- overvoltage
- dust from bad filter (MAF)
- vibration (engine, road) due to bad design
- manufacturing overheat, bad soldering: ripe to rot
- if they do NOT: Servicemen at stealership needs good one for himself (thats what do happen to airbags during "service")
Btw. How many of you know that you actually still have airbags there?
Btw II. Thanking God is ok, only knocking cross will help.
