Bulb Numbers

Well, I have a few question about the interior/exterior lighting on my max.

1. What is the proper size for the interior (dome) lamp? Does anyone have the Sylvania number?
2. What is the proper size for the map lights? My manual says that they are 10W, but Kragen insists that they are 158s, which are 3.4W.
3. What is the proper glove-box lamp size? No one seems to have this listed.

Find the number on the Sylvania site like VG Ill Rider suggested, or...

Just take the bulb out, go to a store that carries automotive bulbs and look it up in their little book. Make sure the bulb looks the same, then replace it.

You know we're too lazy to do that. That's why internet stores are growing by the day.

Hello guys,
I am currently searching for replacement bulbs for my dash(194s). I want them to be pure white(like the original or even whiter) as well as bright. I've been surfing ebay today and found many of those. I will be really happy if anyone can share his/hers own experience. Which is the best one? Thanks in advance

The map light bulb is a real tough one to find. It says 12 volts 10 watt on the base of the bulb but does not seem to be a standard bulb. I was at an O'Reilly Auto parts and looking through their Wagner catalog with the store clerk and could not find an exact duplicate. The Wagner catalog lists their bulbs as 14 volts and uses amperage instead of watts. 10 watts at 12 volts is .83 amp. 10 watts at 14 volts is .71 amp.

I'm thinking that the map light bulbs are a Nissan dealer part.

DennisMik,

Do you remember what kind of socket the bulb uses?

The bulb uses a bayonette base, I think they refer to it as a mini bayonette base.
