every time I shift into park, it isn't really in park unless I push the shifter a little bit passed the letter P. Sometimes the car wont start because it thinks the car is still in gear. Sometimes the reverse lights would be on even though the shifter is in the park position. Could this be the safety switch or the ignition switch??? What is the difference between the 2??? Or is it the tranny??? Please help!!!!!!!

Its called inhibitor switch. Your gear selector needs most possibly adjustment.
Inhibitor switch may also be temporarily bypassed (only to get car moved).

Yeah I have to agree with bigbob, 99% of the time its the nylon bushing on the shift cabe. they break and fall off the car, there is one at both ends of the shift cable, the hard to reach/find one is located above the cat. converter heat shield, you have to slide the shield out of the way to get at it. You should replace both, ~~$5.
