Knock sensor bad
Knock sensor bad
Hey my knock sensor is bad and the bolt is stripped and i cant get it out and ive tried everything. jb weld, vice grips, hammering a bigger bit into it. It just keeps stripping more. would i be able to retard the timing so that it makes up for the faulty knock sensor because my gas mileage is F***ing horrible. Im getting like under 15 miles to the gallon or something. And it sometimes starts to work when i hit a bump or something and my gas mileage will be fine for about a 4th of a tank. any suggestions?
Bypass KS with .5MOhm resistor, use high grade fuel 95 or more.
Fuel gauge is unreliable. Nowadays my filled tank is at 3/4.
Short drive, town, is horrible gas guzzler. Even my -72 hornet did 40% better. There is fundamentally smtg wrong with this car, maybe the oversize intake heating? Highway is 30mpg when all ok.

thankyou i appreciate it so use it with a .5 megaohm resistor? Im probobly going to get a new engine soon anyways Im sick and tired of mine and i can fix this new one up how i like it before i put it in and i can swap it to 5spd while i have the engine out as well. so i wont have this in for long. The best i can get is 93 octane but there are additives i can get that increase it by 1. Is it worth to do that once every full tank of gas?
and one more question. If you dont mind, can u take a picture of the harness at the crank angle sensor? and like put an arrow or something to it? my cd drive is not working right now so i cant view my ESM. It would be greatly appreciated.
