Radio Display out............fixable?

My 93 GXE with the active speaker setup lost the radio display, anyone know if this is fixable? If not, anyone got a spare for cheap?

The one I just took out of my 92 says Bose on it. Maybe yours is jsut the Clarion model. You can probably find one in a local yard for cheap.

I just pulled my 92 bose radio/casette. Worked oK (display was fine, never tried a tape) when I took it out, except that it crackled when I would adjust the volume, which I found annoying. Then when I was taking the screws out of the bracket, I drilled them out, the drill bit went into the radio. I dont know if I did any damage...it MIGHT still work, I havent tried it, but if you're interested let me know and I'll hook it up and test it out.

If your HU works well it can be fixed at a local electronics shop but it will cost you 50 to 90 bucks. At least you know it works well and the display isn't that hard to fix unless it's fried. It looks like a Bose, are you sure your speakers aren't? Look in your trunk and see if the back speakers go through a little circuit board--if they do you have bose speakers. If you are sure you don't have bose speakers I would buy a new head unit and not throw good money after bad fixing the old one. If you do have bose speakers you are better off either fixing the head unit or replacing everything.

that isn't the bose HU.
I've had to replace bulbs inside HUs before to see the display, don't know if that's the case here though

I had the same problem. I assumed that fixing it would be the same as fixing the auto climate. But it wasn't. I couldn't figure it out. when I was walking back to the car I droped it. After geting it back in the car it has worked fine ever since. So het drop it on your driveway it worked for me

My ACC lights are very dim, sometimes smacking the dash makes them brighter. Is this what you fixed? And if so, how? I assumed it to be like the clock problem, resoldering.
