i figured the port was for bass because i can see the heat sink from an amp through the port. does it actually make a difference?

just a thought...
it would awesome to have a fan in that port to help circulate air into the trunk for cooling the amp(s). it's my idea! don't steal it!

Yes the port does make a difference. Even at low volume. If you put your hand over the port you will feel lots of air coming out. It can also defog my back window for me! Also I noticed my trunk rattle was very much reduced. now the only part that rattles with the bass is the center tail light piece, but I only put in 2 of the screws back in cause Im waiting for some dynamat to put behind it.

Yes the're wired to the glove box switch, My amp is mounted on top of the sub box, I used an angle grinder to cut the hole.

I like your setup: enough light without disturbing the whole 'enviro'. Light goes now in just the right direction, not like the original.

What I am working on in mi head is the cramped minima: glovebox so small that only one glove fits in. Where to keep all the stuff and still reach them. You dont now get even that one glove in... I mean this is crazy: car is big as a maxima but minima space for tingies.
