Defrost?

This may be a silly question, but does anyone know what the holes under the rear windshield are for? Does it have anything to do with the defrosting system? (It looks similar to the windshield defrost vent)

No its not silly. Its important q.

Typically when one 'pumps' air in (there's a fan), one has to let somethin out, or at some point on the pressure curve theres an sudden release called explosion. (Btw, this phenomena needs extra turbofan, not those ebay 50$...)

Nissan engineers found out the best way to boost the cabin fan & avert ? explosions: let some of the air go out. These holes are the result of these geniuses. Down the both trunk sides [behind scenery] they added two outlets more; voila´ no trunkplosion
