UPDATE!!! Just bought an SE instrument cluster, How do I swap the odometers?

Hey guys, my trip meter on my 90 GXE is messed up so I bought an instrument cluster from a 90 SE Auto for my 90 GXE Auto. My trip odometer is messed up, and I think the white backround of the SE clusters looks really cool. I need to swap the odometer from my GXE, but keep the trip meter on the new SE. How do I take out the odometer??? I have taken out the clear plastic cover, and also the black part that goes around the cluster, that has the "Door-open", "High-Beam", "Check-Engine", etc., backlights. I can now touch all the needles. Would it be easier to turn back the mileage on the new cluster, or just swap the odometers?? And how??
Thnx.

there should be screws behind it so that u can swap the odometers.

First start by taking apart your broken one, so if you mess up you havent dug yourself into a deep hole. But there should be like two screws on the back that line up with about where the odo is and then it just comes right on out. No tricks or anything.

If any GXE folk want to do this too, I have a spare VG SE cluster around... PM me.

UPDATE!!
Bad news.. Ok, I was able to switch the odometers, and get everything back together. I then put the cluster on top of my steering wheel, and connected the 3 harnesses to the cluster. I went for a test drive, and the odometer and speedometer work, and all the lights work, but the fuel gauge and temperature gauge doesnt work!!! I then plugged in my old cluster, and the temperature gauge shot up to the middle, and the fuel gauge went to the correct reading.. IS my new SE cluster useless?? I didnt plug in the other connectors for the cruise control, mirror adjusment, hazard switch, etc. but I dont think it makes a difference.
Would it be possible to change some internal stuff to make the SE cluster's fuel and temperature gauge work?? Highly unlikely, but maybe when I took off the fuel and temperature screen to remove the odometer I messed something up.. I dont know, but Im pissed.. All that work..oh well

Open up the SE cluster and check everything.

Do you know that it was a functioning unit before hand?

I think you could also switch out the gauge assemblies into your GXE cluster, in case some of the SE wiring is bad.

im 80% sure, i know that is how some people have put the speedo into their 125mph clusters, so the other guages might be the same.

yeah its the same cuz im usin' my 125mph cluster with the 145mph SE gauge faces and it works fine and reads my mph correctly. now i've noticed that the few people that have done the same as me had to calibrate the needles cuz for some reason the '92-'94 SE clusters r different in calibration than the GXE clusters "so they say". i didn't have to do that to mine. i just swapped them in and they worked just fine. i also have a spare '91 SE gauge cluster laying around if anyone is interested.

Check where the screws are on the back that hold on the gas gauge and the temperature gauge because the bolts that hold them on actually have something to do with the working of the electronics, so clean where the bolts sit, and that should help it work again. I had trouble with my speedo not working, and i cleaned where the screws hit the green electical sheet thingy and it fixed it.

Well, I cleaned and tightened the screws and the fuel and temperature gauge started working. You were right mtnbikeair. Thanks a lot everyone..
After I fixed it, I tried removing the 3 gauge faces (temp/fuel, speed, and tach), and screwing them on to my old GXE cluster, it fit perfectly put when I put it in the car, it lighted up green, instead of white..
