bouncing car, frustrating!!

Ok, if i go across speed bumps the front right and entire rear bounce a good 40 seconds afterwards, any uneven part in a road makes it bounce too, i know this is due to struts and possibly worn out springs too, my question is, can you buy struts to lower a car, and use them until i buy the springs to lower it or is this not advisable until i have the springs also, also, how much would it cost to replace the front passanger axle??

Well if your struts are already worn out it wouldnt be smart to stress them more with lowering springs. They wont last long. I would buy struts first, and if you can put them on yourself put them on with the stock springs, then once you have enough money buy lowering springs and put them on. As for the axle check out www.internetautomart.com I dont know if he has the axle, but he will have the struts and springs if nothing else.

yup sounds like struts...struts themselves don't lower the car, the springs do. if you want to lower your car in the future then i would advise getting good struts now that can handle the abuse of a lowered car. if you can, buy the springs and struts at one time so the job can be done in one shot (in order to replace just the struts the springs have to be removed anyway)

1. I don't do axles because of the weight on them and dealing with shipping 2 ways.
2. good struts are anything better than what is on there now
there has been a LOT of discussion about which struts are best, it boils down to personal preference. and budget.
I'll probably get KYBs when / if the time comes.

if your axle is bad, replace that first.
