1/4 watt or 1/2watt resitor for KS?

what size resistor should I get to test to see if my KS is bad....Im not using it for any long term like some peeps, if I find the resistor gives me more mileage and beter performance, im putting a new ks and harnes in....any help on the resistor size would be awesome...I have a 1/2watt 1meg ohm resistor, and a 1/4watt 1meg ohm resistor

They will both work fine, there is no load on the resistor so the power handling doesn't matter. 1 meg ohm is kinda high, but should also work with out any trouble.

Put the 2 resistors you have in parallel - that will make up the required about half megohm KS equivalent - no current flows there so its power rating is irrelevant.

ill go throw the other one on to make it a parralel 500k instead of 1meg...but I drove it around the block after I did this...it seems to pull a little stronger, not much, but it does...I smelled my exhaust right after I stopped infront of my house before I shut the car off...and it smelled differently, a little more burnt....I dont know, maybe its just me lol
