mr gone my point to the newbie, is that a 2inch drop can cause damage to his engine. right now they are in the process of scraping down the roads, which leave manholes sticking up, and toher opstacles, they are doind this on highways and local roads, let's say he is driving down a highway and out of the blue he approaches a shaved road, he's probably going to be driving at least 70, if his car bottoms out and he hit's a manhole, with a 2 inch drop he could rip off his oil pan, and depending on his response time blow his motor. i am trying to help him save a lot of time and money. i hope i cleared up your confusion mr gone.

Yeah but with those 2 inch drop springs aren't they usually a LOT stiffer? With my lowered car, it doesnt bottom out or anything at any speeds on crazy Arizona dips and potholes. The stock suspensioned car however has bottomed out a few times and the only thing that scraped was the crossmember and the stock Y-pipe mount bolt. The oil pan is still flawless.

What you are saying is that he's loosing 2" of ground clearance and if the car bottoms out then damage may occur. If he's lucky then he'll have to get new shocks. If he's lucky when he bottoms out.

if he wants to go to the school of hard knocks, he will go. there are lot of factors you have to think about before dropping a car that low, in my opinion i wouldn,t have gone lower than intrax.

Dude this is what I want, I know about the scraped roads the pot holes, the drive ways etc etc etc..like i said I am an old civic/integra head..I HAVE DRIVEN CARS IN NYC THAT ARE LIKE 2 INCHES FROM THE GROUND..LITERALLY.
You just cannot drive like an idiot and speed everywhere, which is what I want anyways...a reason not 2 be speeding and to pay more attention to the road, plus the sweet dropped look, imporved handling and bouncier feel.

thats cool, it's your car. Personally I like my Eibachs. Sprint just looked a little too extreme for a daily driver around here for me.

As long as he isnt stupid the car will be fine. The crossmember will protect the oilpan from hitting the ground most of the time anyways.
