not in the throttle body....beside it.....i believe we use IAT/MAF combinations

On my 91 SE tailpipes are perfectly clean inside........the inside of the stock muffler is still kinda shiny....it has 222k on it too....alot of water comes out of my exhaust in the mornings.

what do u thing is connected to your IAT Plug.....u have to have a plug.lol

Those comments coming from somebody that initially stated very confidently that
well this chip is only active at WOT
Now if you are even slightly educated in the fuel and timing management systems of the Max as you would imply, you would be able to appreciate that by inserting a single black box in the ECU's temp compensation loop from the MAF, there is simply no way for the "chip" to only be active at WOT because it simply wouldnt be able to know when that situation arrives by only looking at underhood temps and while its connected to the MAF temp comp loop only.

So just to restate the obvious :

1. This thing does not work at WOT only - if it actually ever does.

2. If it does anything at all, then this thing affects the whole of your airflow metering system at all times irrespective of throttle position


Now if you want to continue with an intelligent conversation, stick to facts and - not in the noises containing technical terms you found in the write-up of the "chip" or the FSM.

amazing how this thread ended up like this when i simply asked what the stock timing was for our car. Now i know why your name is LvR...ur just a hell raiser thats it....show me your 5 star car on cardomain then u can tell me something until then SHESSSH!!
