Hi Flow Catalytic Converter!!!!!

Can anyone point to a site where i can find a HIFLOW CAT that is not for off road use only like the ones on ebay. I am looking for one that works but not TOO expensive. Any advice would be worth while. I am afraid to buy teh one sthat specify off road coz might get a ticket or even fail emmisions. Any advice is much appreciated.

Magnaflow.....
just get a universal cat, the difference in flow between them is minimal, the hard part is welding on the flanges.

Even the 'street legal' ones you'll have a hard time passing emissons with. I always have a hard time passing with my 'street legal' one.

But to answer your question.... RT and Catco make street legal 'high-flow' cats

so If someone went with full warpseed exhaust and their hi-flo cat...they would have trouble pasing emission?

I've passed for 3 or 4 years now with full exhaust and 'high flow' cat (I dont remember if I've got Catco or RT though). I've had trouble the last few years passing, and I think the cat was a major contributor. I did alot of work on it and got it to pass (new EGR, seafoam, tune-up, etc etc) this year. If I had a good stock cat I dont think I'd have near the problems

In a nutshell... your emissions wont be AS low as the stock stuff. Sooooo... if you pass with flying colors now you'll be fine. Conversely, if you have trouble passing now, the 'high flow' cat will compound that problem and possibly push you over the edge

Of course you can always put your stock stuff back on for emissions testing, no biggie. I just dont have any stock stuff to put back on

Odd. When I replaced my old stock cat with the then new RT, my emissions plummeted. Even when the pos broke inside, it still passed. I also passed very well with a 4-gen carsound that I modded to fit.
