Anyone with the euro E36 lights please help!

I bought and installed these lights, but I can't get the projectors to work. Does anyone who has these know how to wire these up so they work? Everything else works fine (angel eyes, driving lights) just not the projectors.

The projectors are the actual lights. Are those your high beams or low beams? You probably wired them wrong. You should wire your angel's to the corner lights if you havent done so.

Angels are wired to the corners. The ones on in the picture are wired to the high beams. When I wire the low beams to the projectors I get nothing. I checked the voltage and yes it's getting the proper voltage.

white wire=low beam...thats the first thing to check. Have you checked your bulbs? Maybe the bulbs are bad or the light switch is bad. Were the lows working on your old lights before you did your conversion? Are there bulbs at all in the low beams?

***edit***

also why are your fogs on with the high beams? Did you use the existing wiring for the fogs or did you run your own wires? If you used existing wiring and buttons etc then you have something wrong with the wiring of the headlights. The fogs are supposed to work with the low beams and go off with highs.

Thats just something to think about...more than likely you just have the fogs on with the lights and didnt use factory relays, switches etc.

gotta cover everything though when you are trying to fix something over the internet.

i think you have the hi and low beams reversed, i did that the first time. what harness did you get for the h1 projector bulbs? The high and low should use the same ground then the high to the original high and same for the low.

The wiring on mine was
White- hibeam

Grey- parking light
I dunno check your bulb, then check the wiring, ground specifically, my harness has 2 grounds so make sure you have those covered

Thanks guys for all the info.
First off, I have brand new bulbs in both projectors, so that's covered. My fogs are on, because they were rewired.
My light switch worked fine with the old lights, so no problem there.
I'm using the harness that came with the lights which uses 4 wires with banana clip type plugs to plug into the light assembly. The light assembly looks like a round plug with 4 connectors sticking out of it.
Currently I have it so if you are looking right at the back of the light, the gray angel eyes wire is on the right, the dual ground wires which are connected already are on the top, the yellow low beam wire is on the right, and the white high beam wire is on the bottom.
Do I have to seperate the 2 ground wires? All I did was connect them to my old ground wire that was used on the old lights.

Maybe try grounding the headlight wires to the body. Thats what I did anyways. Then again, since your high beams work, that shouldn't be a problem. If you are getting power to the low beam wire on the new harness, try checking if you are getting power to the light itself, if you can get in there.

On the back of mine the ground wire was brown, and there were 2 of them, but from your description it sounds to be the same colors/wiring as mine, so pull that rubber cover off the wires and look for another ground possibly

edit: def reground your grounds to the body, the wires in the projector harness are at least twice the size of the stock ground, and theres 2 of them, im guessing your angel eyes are using all the ground for the projectors and the hi-beams is completely using up the other ground

OK, Thanks I'll try to ground them to the body tonight, and see if that works.

Ebay Motors. Look for E36 headlights. Do not get the one piece with the corner light already mounted. Then you have a lot of choices to choose from.
