Crazy Idea.

I really want some adjustable racing seats but i dont want to lose my power. I was thinking of keeping the original mounts and using the parts from my old seat to convert whatever seats i get to power. Anyone attempt this? Good idea, bad idea? I thought about just getting 300zx seats but i dont really like the look of them...

You can try it, but the seats are designed bigger to hold all the actuators.

You might be able to install the racing seats onto the frame of the old seats. Just an idea.

I put in isuzi amigo seats in my 83 cj-7, it was just a matter of lining up the bracket and drilling holes in the original mount from the jeep and the running rail of the new seats, the hardest part was driling holes through that metal , took soo long. They fit pretty well tho, and are higher up than the originals. So in conclusion buy a jeep and put amigo seats in it.
