I don't know where that came from, but it would be cool.

either A: you just drove the z06 or B: You want a 5th gen turning radius

Our turning radius does suck pretty bad though. I cant imagine it being any worse.

and tucking is for show cars
real cars need ground clearance. Especially with these hills they call speed bumps

Ummm tucking is very important for a 66 Chevelle...have you ever seen how low the rear wheel arch is (not sure if the elky is as low)? At stock height I tuck the rear tires and if I had to clear a fender because I didnt get the right offset wheel it would be jacked up way in the air old school style...a look I am not after lol.
That is plenty of side wall as well...There is a 67 that has this set up and it looks perfect except he is a little lower than I would want to be.

I am not the biggest fan of 5 spoke designs on a 3rd gen, I did a million photoshops and decided on wheels I wasn't too fond of, but were just too perfect looking on my car. Hopefully I can get pics up soon but now the car wont start anyhow...

SVT 98 vs. SVT 99 wheels - I'm looking at these two right now.
98 is cast while 99 is forged. What's the impact of the structural difference? I assume you guys chose 98 due to a more accentuated design and 1lb less than 99. Recommended tire size is 255 on tirerack. Jeff/mr. gone and brad, have you or anyone else for that matter even tried 255s? Do your 245s fit the wheel too tight, i.e. any handling problems during aggressive driving?

Don't know about the 99s be forged. We use the 98s because they clear bbk that I/we use. Stock is 245-45-17s. So that's what I ran for some time. 245s would rub the fender well on bumps turns slightly. 255s would be even worse. I "think" they would clear the struts but not 100%. Just no reason to run such wide tires IMHO.

5-spokes. Jeff- you did actually hit on a valid point-I do dislike most thin 5 spokes like the mustang wheels on the Maxima. It does not look right to me on such a plain sedan. In fact I find it difficult to like most thin spoked wheels (konig tantrums, Millie Miglia MM-11-3's) Because they look like they belong on something other than a family sedan. It is my preference. Granted, I would buy a set of the most goregeous 5 spokes ever, the Volvo S60 R Pegasus wheels, and put those on my car in a second.

1- "nissan designed"
2- Not thin spoked like the mustang ones

msw/tenzo r wheels?
I'll stay out of the Ford/Nissan Cobra/Maxima debate (peace brothers, only Maxima love allowed in here). Do you know if MSW is still in business? They made a great mesh basketweave wheel for the 3rd gens., BBS-like w/o the $ tag. I saw Tenzo R RS5s on a seafoam green 3rd gen. Looked good except for the gold centers. I'd really like some period '80s wheels for my '89 SE. Any MSW or other mesh wheel leads?

You will be hard pressed to find a wheel with all of these features for as cheap as you can get the mustang ones ($150) that also isn't ricey.
To each his own though
