My alignment has been all ****ed up for the last 5 months. I begged my dad to get it done and then offered to pay for it three times and he still told me to wait. So now the tire wear is all screwed up and now I think my dad has wasted so much time that we're going to have to replace all four tires instead of just two. This really ****ed me off because this is the second time this has happened to me. Anyway, I may now have to replace these tires so I need recommendations and keep in mind I'm on a budget here so I can't afford anything like Pirelli z-rated's. I currently have Yokohama S306's ( over $400 for all four) on my Maxima and I must say I really like them, but this time I want something a little more low profile cause I think they're a bit big.

well factory size is 205/65R15 i think so maybe you can go with a 205 or 215 60 that might help a little or maybe a little more extreme and go with a 215 or 225/55 those sizes will be pretty close to your factory hight but will be better performance...if you are looking for a good performance tire for a good cost i would stay with your 306's but if you could afford a little more get some michelin xgt H4's they are sweet...well i hope i helped a little if you want some more info just let me kno

oh yeah

and after you get the new tires get your allignment checked that way you know for sure everything is good ...checking allignment with tires that are already bad doesn't really do any good cause the tires are all worn to the messed up alignment well anyways good luck

For a good handling/lasting tire that's pretty cheap, take a look at the Nitto 460. last time I checked, they were about $60/tire. you can get them in 205/65 and 215/60 even.

You can't really go with anything low profile on your wheels without throwing the speedo off, but you can go a little wider. I don't recommend going over 215 on these wheels though.

I thought 215/60 15s were standard on SE models because their wheels are 6.5" wide......at least on the 92 to 94 models....

Anyhoo, 215/60 is the size you should use, while good choices include:

and

http://www.tirerack.com/tires/bfg/bf_tahr4.jsp

Both are $60/each from Tire Rack and should serve you well. I would say it would cost you $275 delivered to your door....

Re: Hmmm...

i've got 225 60 R15's on my max. i'd have to recommend dunlop SP5000's, but if you do go with that size, go with the 55 or below series, they're not too expensive online, but at NTB they'll run ya like 90 apiece.
