nissan lists 2 alternators for the 3rd gen, a 90 amp and a 95 amp. other posters have said the 90 amp is for the gxe and the 95 amp is for the se. i don't know if there would be a mounting difference or not.
ALL VG 89-94 = 90 amp
ALL VE 92-94 = 95 amp
they don't look alike, but there is at least one documented case of a VG alternator having been used on a VE engine. How they did it? Nobody is sure.
