Long Never ending problem. Any input would help

Wuts up guys. I have had a never ending problem with my car that can be simply discribed as some serious power loss. I step on it and the carr just falls on its slef and i dont get that "fun factor." The engien will have trouble reving over 2500 may jerk up to 3500 but still no real pull to it. Whats wierd is it is a completely inconsistant problem. This flat out powerloss/"unsmooth" acceleration happens about 20% of the time. I know it could be MAF, faulty knock sensor, 02 sensor but there is a few curve *****.

1. MAF checks out ok because i have another one taht i threw in and still same problem
2. Recently did tune up, plugs, belts, fuel/oil/air filter, tranny flush
3. New TPS, Engien timing checks out
4. No check engien light, i would think that if my 02/knock sensor was bad my check engion light would be on

I had a powerloss problem befor and it was because my cat was blown and my mechanic installed a new one for me and did the engien timing and check out some sensors. You guys think that maybe my muffler blew or something in the exhaust system with the cat.
Can i pull codes from my ECM even tho my check engien light isnt on

first of did you check your coil packs,

those are some common problems on a ve engine,

second did you check to see if all 6 fuel injector are clicking,

they will cause problem if they are not clicking or firing,

1. the check engine light rarely gets triggered on these cars.
2. you can try to pull a code, but I doubt it will show anything.
I've had bad injectors (replaced 7 so far) no CEL
I've got a bad knock sensor, no CEL
I've had a bad o2 sensor, no CEL

that give you an idea of how primitive the CEL is?

I would see if there is any codes stored in the ecu...It may have stored the malfunctioning sensor code and not give you the cel light, mine did that on my knock sensor.

If there are no codes then i would look into the coil packs or injectors...

Your problem is lack of either fuel, air, or spark.
What is your fuel mileage like? Bad fuel mileage can help to point you in the right direction.
Is it possible that your air filter or intake manifold is obstructed?
Did you change the fuel filter?
Did you check the condition of your plug wires and plugs?
Bad plugs probably aren't your problem, however -- I've seen some seriously worn plugs perform pretty well, but it doesn't hurt to check.
Does the engine rev freely in park?
I know that these are simple things, but it's easier to check/replace the easy stuff before spending money on coil packs and injectors.
.Org user "Wiking" can tell you more (like chapter and verse!) about checking injector voltages and electrical causes of your problem.

Hmm

- As said, KS u know only for sure only with Nissan (or similar ) tester, or testing via bypass resistor.
- Geerhed mentions the essentials: you miss one of those intermittently. One farfetched issue could be collapsing gas hose; u possibly dont see that. Or gas pump loses stamina...
- More likely mentioned coilPacks.
- Electronics? Supply Voltages tested?

Keep shootin: targets will never cease, new poppin every morning.

Wow, I think THAT is the problem I'm having.

Will you be accelerating and all of the sudden it starts to steadily decelerate on it's own 'til you let up off the gas? Mine does it maybe 10-20% of the time. It's maddening because it's so inconsistent. Get some hesitation when trying to maintain a steady speed as well.

My vote is for the coil packs. Driving along fine and then it is just like you took your foot off the gas but you didn't? A couple new coil packs fixed mine.
