hey y'all, lately, the two cooling fans (behind the radiator) in my car are making really loud noises, louder than usual causing alot of vibrations. Is this a sign of aging? do i need to replace it quick before it lead to something else. it sounded like the fans are loose. Its been hot here in Seattle for the last couple of weeks so the engine gets cook up pretty fast therefore the fans are running constantly. Any idea what is happenning or what i can do?

 

Fan bearings are shot. I have an extra fan assembly for sale. Or if the fans un bolt, I can sell just those. I'm in Seattle/Bellevue also. As long as the VG/VE ones are the same.

 

i'm going to try to take the fans out later on today to see if that is the problem. let me get back to you on that. mine is a VG. i'm not sure if the VG and VE are the same. do you?

 

you can switch out the whole shroud assembly with the fans in it, and that will work with either motor. i have not tried switching blades between the two.

yeah, i know, but only one of the blade is loose. i'll going to call around to see how much the whole thing cost first. Otherwise, i'm just gonna replace the loosed fan. thanks y'all!

used. pulled it out when I someone rearended my old max. About 100k miles I guess. Were dead silent and ran perfect.

I'll grab it from storage tomorrow. Then we can discuss the sale. Actually, I might swap this spare with the one I'm using now. ie.. you get my exisiting one. Works exactly the and has less miles. I think I had to trim off a tab on my spare (for a project ) and I wouldn't want to sell one with something cut off if I can get one that's not been cut. The differences is like one very small unused tab. Bugs me more than it would you. haha.
