Horn Not working

yesterday i got cut off and nearly rear ended the guy so i went to slam my horn and nothin happened, later that night i went home to see if i could figure out whats wrong, when i press the horn i can hear the relay switching (at least thats what i think it is) but no horn, but if i keep pushing it then every once in awhile the horn will make a faint quick sound. Before i buy a new horn i just wanted to make sure that, this will correct my problem?

The easiest way to check is take a jumper wire from the positive terminal battery to the power terminal of the horn. If it blasts, you have a loose connection somewhere. If it does the little quick sound still, the horn is shot.

I had my horn stop once and the cruise control went also i took it to the Stealership and they Fixed it !!

It was a problem with the power spring that supplies power to the steering wheel !

It is a special spring ( have to buy from stealership)

His won't be the power RING. When he hits the horn button, the relay clicks. Which means his button is doing what it's supposed to do, and grounding out the relay. This suggests one of the following

-Bad connection off the relay to the horn
-Bad power terminal connection at the horn
-The horn is shot
-Bad grounding for the horn

I agree, this natural body reaction gets the point across much better than any horn. Though it does lack the loudness needed to draw the attention of the mindless moron.

My friend had this same problem, but his was caused by a short in his alarm. Whenever he pressed on the horn it would draw power from the horn through the alarm relay and the clicking sound was his alarm relay. Do you have an alarm on the car? If you do and it does not travel through your horn and has it's own siren then you have nothing to think about, just disregard this msg!

Our cars came with an alarm on it. Though since he does seem to get a "squeek" out of it, I think it's horn itself that has finally shot.

i just thought of this, could i just go to a junk yard and pull it off of any car?
