WHat Mod To Buy

so for the past few days i have been debating what to buy, my choices are, 7in micro vision and dvd player, 20 % tint(with some extra money over), or sprint springs and KYB Struts, or stillin body kit.

most of the mods listed are considered eye candy (to show off the ride a bit), nothing wrong with that, but I'm thinking the suspension package, since it will make the car looks more agressive, and it has functionality as well, just hoping you know what you're getting yourself into when doing the suspension though.

IMO, you should consider using the money to fix up things that are actually bad on the car, making sure the car is mechanically sound before venturing into adding eye candy items, or even modding for that matter of fact, except for if you are replacing broken parts with "modding" or upgraded parts.

definately go with the struts. I always work on suspension/performance mods before appearance. Its on the inside that counts first. my sig as an example. I havent got to do to much for performance due to being newly employed but I need to update that pic I have the hood red now but just needs to be evened out so it looks nicer. But I am putting in Bosch Platinum 2 Spark Plugs in tomorrow. Getting Stillen Intake and FSTB soon.

don't know if you have researched yet, but don't, I repeat, DON'T put Bosch platinum plugs into the VG, it will actually do more harm than good, your best option is to get some NGK v-power, which is what most will recommend to you.

The best first mod is a set of good tires. The second - an SS exhaust. The third - struts. IMHO.

I would do the struts as they might improve handling which translates to performance and safety. IMHO TVs in vehicles are unsafe except for big vehicles where only the rear seats can view them.

I returned the Bosch plugs to autozone and went to a different shop and got stock replacements and while changing the plugs one of the wires metal conductor broke so I had to limp down to the store to get new ones and by then they seemed to have fused together but Im still going to get new ones when the come in this week. Runs alittle better when cylinder 6 wire wasnt broken the car felt like our Sentra completely gutless but by the time I got to Shucks everything was ok, go figure.

if thats your winter car, think about the body kit, it lowers your grnd clearance by an amount.
one time a snowplow plowed me out of my driveway, no prob i can just bust through it, i got high centered and had to dig out
and i dont even have a body kit.

p.s. iridium plugs are okay in a '93 SE correct?

Good choice ditching the BOSCH, they look neat but heck not a soul around here reccomends them. Oh and yes 6 cyl ALWAYS better than 5!

Its been running fine all day but It seems to have less response when I press the pedal. Ill mess with it if new wires dont fix that.

Yeah, go suspension; I'm all about function over form though. You might want to get some out of the classified section; get 'em cheap and have enough left over for the tint.

spring/struts MUST come first, then rims, then body kit, otherwise it'll look fugly.

Mr. Gone is right...

Denso is toyota, so I'm not sure you want toyota stuff in your max. Just stick with NGK.

As for what material, platinum is for long lasting, copper is not as long lasting but the best conductor, and iridium is the middle ground between durability and conductivity.

So you may have to change your coppers every 30k, but they were like $1.70 apiece at the DEALER a few months ago compared to some $12 iridiums?

For the mods, I'd go drop. You should still be able to squeeze in tint and be under $500 if you buy the springs used.

if you want the coil overs that just slip over a regular replacement strut, that's easy.
if you want true coilovers that won't screw up your alignment along with other problems, they aren't being produced as of current.
many before you have designed/produced such setups, but the costs were prohibitive, and had bumpsteer along with other issues

Which is better: Konis or KYBs? I live in an area with some rough roads, so I'm going with eibach springs (least drop).

It's all dependent on price. Konis are the best while kybs are the lower of the three (koni tokico kyb). You can get a set of kybs for under 200 though, and a set of konis for about 500. I have tokicos/eibachs, and they are alright but I have never tried to others. But personally I'd throw on the kybs, eibachs and get tint. You could still do it for about 500 (the price of the stillen kit)
