They are nice I agree. But I need auto (wife ). TL autos trannies have been suspect. Acura is handling the problem well but I'd rather not have to deal with it. The G auto uses the V8 5sp auto out of the M and Q. Plenty strong.

I've already swapped out my engine, suspension/leather interior, wheels, intake, exhaust, tranny, clutch, flywheel etc.. from my 1st totalled maxima into this one. And I've swapped engines/trannies/clutches again also. Been there, done that type of thing. If I'm going to slave away on a project car, it sure ain't going to be a fwd 4 door maxima this time. It's been fun. I've done all the "right" mods to this car. But it's time to lay off this stuff until I figure out what project car is worth my time. The G would only receive mild stuff. ie.. stuff I can install w/o the wife knowing hahahahaha.

So the car is running and driving?

I thought with the dragging, there would be some rotor/brake damage and other problems like that.

Yeah drives fine. I drove it to work today. The cobra rotors took a beating and held up fine. I haven't got it up on ramps yet but since I need to change the oil, I'll take a look tomorow. I had to take a 1/2 day yesterday to throw the wheels on and drive to my dad's place. Then took a vacuum, bucket of water and a sponge and cleaned all the cherry flavored whatever that was sprayed all over the interior. Other than that, it's good to go (except for a small dent in the lower kick panel area). I need to find out what insurance is going to do.

I offered the car complete to a local. If that falls though, let the vulturizing begin. Would be shame to part out this car though.

In fact, if my test drives of some replacement cars don't thoughly impress me, I might keep it. ie... be much faster, handle much better and most importantly brake the same or better..

I kind of doubt that you will find a "replacement car" that will impress you as much as your fully modded Maxima.

Good luck with everything, Jeff.

I gotta get off my butt and test drive some. Anyone want to chime in with their experiences of the G35 / TL / GS400 vs modded VE? heh.

Thanks for the kind message.

Not yet. But I've 99.9% decided it will be sold. Wife wants me to get a newer car so who am I to argue?

There are a few locals interested, plus one not so local guy. It will most likely be sold "as-is". Meaning just how it sits with all the mods currently installed.
