He lives in Meridian, MS and he is okay. Last I heard, no power, a few trees down, but that is about it. Fortunately, he has access to a generator so they should be in good shape.

What Austin said..
He's okay. no power, but he's got a generator. minor damage to property (tool shed roof gone and some trees down), but otherwise he's fine.

Funny thing was, the other day I was cleaning out my old HDD to replace it with a new one, and I ran across a small vid of Mike's daughter saying "Roll Tide". So cute... I'm sure if he's ok, then the wifey and kid is also.

Good to hear. I have relatives down there, they are with other family in St Louis now. Cousins live in Slydell, their house is a gonner. Grandparents live in an old historic neighborhood, which is on higher ground and didnt flood. As long as they dont get looted their stuff will be fine, including the 30,000$ Steinway piano.

Thanks for the concern. Like others have said I am in Meridian, MS and I am doing just fine. I got my power back on Saturday morning but the cable is still down and the only PC I have that has a modem is my laptop so I havent been online much at all.

To all that have emailed me I am not ignoring you. Give me a while to get my cable back up and I will respond to everyone. It looks like it will be a while since the cable is down everywhere. They will actually have to put new poles up and run all new lines in some places (its cut in several places down the road from me).

My company is based out of New Orleans so its been a big adjustment for the staff. We have a satelite office in Jackson MS so they have changed the base of operation to there. We already had a disaster recovery server there and we didnt loose a single bit of data. So far we are still missing 2 employees. Hopefully they are fine but we just cant get in touch with them.

Since he is not on much right now, I will answer for him the best I can. The cars are fine. One of the Maximas did get flooded b/c the tarp covering it blew off in the storm. However, there was nothing in the car for the water to damage. No interior, ECU... All he did was let it drain and all was well.
