Teh GL-4 store.

My dealer had it but $. Most auto stores DIDN'T carry it. You might have to run redline or Amsoil.

I went to their site and found that earlier but i think that is only compatible with gl-4 only if you mix it with it,not exclusively...

I know Autozone carries "Coastal" brand GL-4. I wouldn't put it in my tranny though.

I read on the back of them GL-3-4-5 compatible gear oils and it said it can be used as a top off with all types but recommended not to be used exclusively....

Penszoil makes a GL-4,but i got to go to Knoxville[75 miles] to get it..

no 1 gallon is 4 quarts and most maxes need 4 1/4 to 4 1/2 quarts it depends on the diff. they also sell the same thing in quart sizes.

no shawn im not really a napa ***** but they have such a large stock of parts. i really hate their Dealship prices on just about everything. an axle seal was 2x as much than at nissan.

Napa prices on exhaust donuts are way more expensive than the Nissan dealer.

So I went to napa and they said i shouldn't get gl-4 because it was the wrong weight. Their system said our cars use 75-90w. IS the 85-90 alright? It says on the back thats it's for light trucks and buses.

well if its too thick than mix it with thinner gl4 such as redline mtl it really wont matter either way.

that's the stuff. i'm sure 85-90 won't be the end of the world, but yeah, a gallon might not be enough. i thought it was, i had the car jacked up the other day and filled it till the oil came out of the hole, drove it around, checked it this moring with all 4 wheels on the ground and the oil was only up to about 1/4-1/2" under the hole (i guess it settled). it's supposed to be directly at the bottom of the filler hole. so yeah, another 1/2 quart or something might be needed. are you already done with the swap? or just stocking up on neccessities before hand?
