Clock and Stereo wont turn off
This morning when I got out of my car the stereo and clock stayed on. I tried putting the key back in and turning it on and off. Same thing. I can turn the ignition off and then open and close the door and the stereo will turn off for a few seconds and turn back on. The clock stays on the whole time. Anyone know why this is happening. I havent changed anything.

It doesnt chime. If i shake the car and turn the wheel a little bit i hear a clicking noises and the clock flashes to the ticks and if i shake more it finally will stop. Whats the best way to get those relays out?

i had the same problem last winter + a few more (1 rear windows wouldnt come down) and it was because a few wires had their insulation cracked, under the carpet, near the driver seat
they sometimes grounded on the frame and got me weird electrical problems

an idea... it could be something in the ignition not locking "off" all the way but staying in the "accesory" mode. To be honest the only way to check that would be take apart the steering colum. but before you do that check all other possibilities first! for the only reason that if it is not the problem you'll kick yourself for all the work you did only not to find the problem. "Just a idea"

Talked to someone and im going to change out my key switch he says thats probably the reason its not turning off cause its not registering that the key is out. Although when I go out in a couple hours the clock is off but doesnt come on right away. I hope that works.

you will be able to remove the switch itself without having to remove the steering wheel and even the "keyed" part of the switch, but you will probably need to cut and solder a few wires
before you replace the switch, you will have access to the contacts behind it...test it with a multimetre.....i did and since my problem did'nt come from it, it saved me a lot of time/hassle
