depending on the size of the tweeters and where you want to mount them....I'm assuming in the doors...(I wouldn't but each to his own)...What you should do is first get a drill attachment that cuts circles (forget the name) at home depot or LOWEs or some place of the sorts....pick the place for the tweeter and then DRILL.....viola...you have a hole and the tweeter should have come with the necessary hardware that would finish the intall....make sure though that that is what you want to do because finding a new door panel might be a *****!

nupe is right. door panels are a BITACH to find. i almost messed up my passanger side door panel. all you do is remove hte panel, trace a small circle where the tweeter mounts in, NOT the entire circle of the flush mount, the acutal mount has a little flange that will cover up an cosmetic suckiness that you may end up causing to your door panel then you just mount it in.

ngthing, that looks really good. i was thinking about getting some. to wire them up dont you just splice into the stock wiring on the door speaker? or is that the "cheap" way to do it? any comments on that?

Cutting

When I did this, I bought a 1.5" hole saw attachment for my drill at Home Depot. Since the teeth for the hole saw attachement were pretty rough (it was meant for drilling through a dense material), what I did was to first make an outline of the hole with a pencil, then cut the top vinyl layer of the door panel with an exacto knife. After that, I taped over the hole with masking tape and then went on with the drilling of the actual hole.

lookin good. im about to do that myself. Im buying kenwood compontents probably tomarow or next week, but im still undecided whether im gonna mount em in the door like that or next to the mirror like matt93gxe. I think im gonna end up in the door panel, it looks better like that and i think it will be harder to mount em by the mirror, without them looking like they were just 'stuck' there.

thanks for the compliments. well, i rewried my entire car, i didn't like the stock wiring for speakers...they couldn't handle any wattage. i cut another hole in my door and in my car and ran 12ga wire to the speakers and tweets through the supplied crossover. i put wireloom over the wires. ill get a pic tomarrow. if you can...rewire the car, dont use stock wire.

Yeah, I'd DEFINATELY suggest going with new wiring. I'm in the process of putting in Boston ProSeries 6.5's and I discovered that the stock wiring just won't cut it. I would definitely suggest getting a crossover, if all you're doing is adding tweets. After all, you don't want 20hz going to 'em. It's just not healthy. I might even have a pair of Rockford Fosgate or Boston crossovers lying around, if you need to buy some for cheap!
