Are you Married?

Anyway.... yeah the wheels are 17x7.5 - ROTA SUBZERO - 17lbs with KUMHO 235/45/17s with a 20mm H&R spacer, but the wheels are out of production now. Next best thing would be ENKEI Heliums.

Do you ever have dreams about racing in Flat Carts(go karts)?

P.S. I believe the guy I gave it to is going to give it back b/c he is moving to PANAMA, therfore I have started my project "Restore Nissi" list. Going for a serious build up and some exstensive modifications, including a set of 19s paint matched to the body... lots of stuff. All the things I never had the time or cash to do, yet now I have a surplus of both.

Is you MAXIMA still down? What are you driving now?

DRIFTING does this...

then why didn't you responded to my emails a while back. You talked on message boards like you were interested but never returned any emails.

I still need to finish the car but I have a couple of buyers interested...hopefully one of them will buy it because I need the money for home improvements.

My e-mail changed, and I lost registration, then I moved, then I started a new job, ,and now I am re-registered, and now my OLD maxima will be back soon.

Got me a 91 Maxima GXE and I love it. I have had many, many cars and this one is one of the best or possibly the best besides the 79 Trans Am I once owned with a 6.6L.

G'day mates

Aussie Dave in Montreal Canada here...

Got a Nissan Maxima 1992, just signing in to say hello - will post a pic when the damned salt is washed off my car - the car is black in summer, white in winter, you get the point...

I love the thing dearly - 330,000 clicks, had it since day one

Haven't decided what to go with - upgrade the beast as it's loved - or start hunting for a Maxima 2001 20th Ann Limited Ed...

Can't wait to start browsing the forums...

Hey whats up everyone. Just picked up a 92 Maxima today and thought i would sign up for infor ect.. Not new to the forums. My last car was a modded 03 Tiburon GT which i friggin miss but oh well. Still an active member of Newtiburon.com so come check us out if interested.
Now i got a quick question. I searched but couldnt find what i was after. My car is an auto and i was wondering if anyone has had any problems with the button on the shifter not pushing in when it gets cold or do i have another problem? Its been fine all day but when i ran to the store and back tonight, the button would not push in and it would not go into park. Any help would be very much appreciated!!!!

I've had my 93 black max 5spd for about three years now but it spent most of that time on the chopping block. Finally replaced the clutch and water pump only to have the tranny decide not to go into first or second. I think its the input shaft bearing but could be wrong. Might need a new tranny or I might just rip this one apart. GOD I JUST WANT TO DRIVE MY MAX!!!!

Newbie from Australia

Hi there everyone!

I am from Australia and have a 1993 TI Maxima which although is stock standard, it i s mint condition! I am so happy to have found a forum that loves the maxima's! Some of the mods that people have done are awesome!

These cars arent that popular here for modding(guessing because it's front wheel drive) anyway, after seeing some of the many maxima's on cardomain and the such I would like to find a stillen body kit and perhaps do the E36 light conversion..I wouild also like to put a set of 17x7 ADR Spade in Gunmetal...The list goes on and on..
Anyway, thanks again for havingf this forum, I look foward to being here with updates when possible!

Hey Everybody. I am Marshall Rogers. I own a 1990 Maxima GXE. It is completely recognizeable from othe maximas as it is in the middle of an eclipse front bumper install, it's mounted i just gotta do the fiberglass now to make it all match up right. I cant wait to get this thing to the track this weekend. anyways, i'll stop rambleing since this is just an introduction.

92 SE A/T in Denver. I'm looking at a 93 SE 5sp (same colour as my 92 though ), but the seller says the mechanic told her it needs a new tranny (no idea what the problem is, hopefully I'll get to check it out tomorrow). Came here to see if I could get some ideas on what a rebuild/fix might be from you guys.

This is your lucky day! Not only do you have the exact problem I had, I was also browsing this thread which I rarely do (next time you might want to find a thread that even remotely comes close to the problem you're having and post there as opposed to asking questions in an intro-type thread).

It's your shift lock. Check out this thread: http://forums.maxima.org/showthread.php?t=505625

umm...my name is T and im from Texas and I just got a 1993 Maxima GLE, black with tan interior and all the goods. Im just starting to fix it up and I was wondering what all you could do to them? As far as I know theres only one body kit out there for 3rd generations? It's all stock now and in great condition but I would like to fix it up to look a little cooler than your average sedan lol. Oh its an automatic too, but thats ok...its 190 horses does pretty well

Welcome to the org..

3rd gen maximas are either an SE or a GXE model, there is no gle model..The gxe model has a lot of chrome trim, the se does not,so you can pretty much figure out what kind it really is from that..

Check out the 3rd gen modifications sticky for lots of mod info on these cars...

Good luck..

don't bother.
you can find better ones for the price of what you need to fix.

I got it for 200 but the interior is in good condition and black. 133k runs good. I'm thinking rotors , pads, mc, lots of bondo, sanding. The fuel leak is from just one or two fuel lines near the rear driverside tire. Not the filler neck leaking. And i think the ypipe is bad. I have been wanting to learn how to do bodywork.

if you're talking lots of bondo you aren't talking good body work.
I paid $200 for
I paid $50 for:

Both ran and drove to the shop, and both drove out of the shop.
neither had mechanical problems to speak of. the first one was too rusty, so I pulled the interior and sold it (both car and interior seperately)
2nd one needed some macj=hine time, and I didn't have the money to do it, so I sold it off.
made money on both of em with no money invested.

I used to own a 93 GXE. Sold it with 231K on it because I got a 93 SE with only 65K.

Unfortunately, the new one has more trouble than the old one, but there is a big difference between these cars, so I'm liking the SE.

Also, I'm in NC, but I can't get the map to work. Is that just me? I can get to the site and view the pics, but the map just keeps loading.

Dam thats some good deals.

Do you work for the place or know the owner? I know some dealerships let their own employees just pay the trade in to buy used cars.

The only thing wrong with the interior is its missing an ashtray cover in the back.

It won't be a daily driver just a backup car.
