Found the problem
well finally after 2 months of letting it sit I finally know what happened to my car and Y it shut off on me. The bolt that holds the timing belt tensioner snapped flush at the block
and now that I think more about it, can I tap that out? Is it a double threaded bolt (one end screws into the block the other a nut goes on to hold the tensioner)? Or do I need a new block?

Well if the tesioner for the T-belt snapped, that means the belt basicly came loose, meaning you probably bent some valves...
I guess just take apart all the t-belt stuff, you may have already done this to find that out. Then you could probaly drill & tap out the rest of the stud, put another back in, put it all back together and see what happens Hell, it may run.
You should be able to get the stud out using an extractor kit, plenty of 'em out there. WD-40 and some gentle heat (blow torch) are your friends.
