A/C Temp. Slider
A/C Temp. Slider
the air conditioner temperature slider is extremely hard to move back and forth, so usually i go from super cold to super hot because once you get it to move, the slider jerks to the opposite side since you put too much force on it. is there a way to loosen this thing up or something? I figured sliding it back and forth really fast might fix the problem, but I think i came close to breaking it.
You need to hit up the junkyard for another one....
The slider runs on a little plastic track inside the unit. After years of sliding back and forth the little track warps, causing it to become stuck when you slide it across the warped spot...I took my parts car unit apart to try to fix it, but found no way to repair the track....You might get by for a while with some spray lube like lithium grease...But eventually it will stop sliding altogether...
I try to get some pics up of my parts car unit when i get home this afternoon to show you what it looks like....

I suppose u mean the manual version ****...
Plastic **** sticks in plastic 'rail' [blu]. Spray/lubrication keeps it sliding...
