Need new door, couple questions...

I'm about to purchase a rear-passenger side door to fix my smashed Maxima. My maixma is a 92 SE, and the one i want to purchase is from a 91 SE- will that be a problem?

And what tools do i need to change the door???

Its been a while so I am not sure but I think its 14mm (maybe 12mm) for the door hinges...just run out to your car and check. You will also need a small hammer to knock the pin out of the door slider thing (not sure what its called but its the thing that keeps tension on the door when you open it)...just knock it up and then take a small screwdriver or something and knock it the rest of the way out. Also a flat head screwdriver to use with the hammer and knock the hinge off. They use a seam sealer or something and its almost like glue and you have to seperate it from the car. Be sure and have somethign supporting the door so it doesnt hit the ground hard.

Now for the wires...DO NOT CUT THEM...you dont want to cut the harness but if you pull the weather plug where the wires go into the body you can pull the wires out and there is a plug that connects the door harness to the car.

Putting it back on will be fun...sometimes it can be a pain to get it adjusted properly. I always use a jack to hold it up and help align it.

take them off the door side, not the body side unless there was damage to the hinge pilar. there is no adjustment from door to hinge, but there is from hinge to post. should make putting back on alot easier.( when you go pull it off at the jnk yard though take it off with the hinges in case they are damaged and you need them later.)
