Remote starter on GXE?

I'd like to put a remote starter on my GXE, but I saw another thread in here where it sounded like it wasn't worth the bother on a GXE because of the keyless entry / security system. Just wondering if anyone has put a remote starter on a GXE without screwing up the keypad system.

there are ones out thtere that oyu can install yourself and they cost like $50..... i dont even think you would have to intertwine it with the keypad but i dunno i may be wrong

the remote start has nothing to do with the factory anti-theft / keyless entry
I put one in my SE and and had no wiring going to anything other than the ignition switch and power

My real main concern here is that if I don't wire the remote starter to disarm the security system, the security system may have some sort of engine- or stater-cutoff.

As well, the remote starter I have also has keyless-entry functionality, and of course I'd like to use it if it's there. At the same time, I still want to retain the keypads so I can go completely keychainless in the summer.

Yes, I want to have my cake and eat it too

if your alarm isnt going off... it will not cut the engine off.. so oyu should be safe.. if you set it off.. it wil probably shut the motor off
