I'm trying to buy either Warpspeed Y-pipe or Redlinemax's Y-pipe with a high flow cat. Does the cat really improve HP and still solve emission problems? I was just wondering if it'll also make a louder sound and higher pitch. Thanks guys.. help me out.

I haven't seen any actual dyno sheets showing a High-flow cat actually improving power. It's still argued by some that a brand new regular will flow just as well. Of course the best way is chopping it off, but you didn't hear that from me.

For the Y-pipe... Warpspeed, and it will give you a nice gain, in both power and noise. I haven't heard it first hand, but they say it'll increase the noise level quite a bit on a stock muffler. Can't wait to get mine and see how much louder my Ravin gets

if you need to replace one then anything that works, you wont really notice anything from it though

just remember ... if your cat is messed up..... your O2 sensor may have casued it to go bad

I have a used WSP y-pipe for sale
and the cat will free up no hp unless your current one is bad
