Maybe try a powerful heat gun? What exactly is cracking Tony?
So what if someone wants to take them out? I have a small issue with mine. Some noob that installed it previosly, put the left tail in a way where it's not flush with the centerpeice because it is most likely over tightened. This really irritates me. On my old 93'GXE, there wasn't any black glue, so they were easily removed and adjusted. When I went and tried to adjust it on my new SE, I was stunned that I would be stuck with this look for awhile because it had some massive black glue holding it down after I unbolted it.

nope over tightening will not cause that. Either the car was in a wreck and it is still pushed in on that tail light or the trunk itself if out of alignment.

You got it Tony. It's stuck up there by a gooey sealant.
The FSM says to use a heat gun and apply pressure.
But, I didn't have a heat gun. I pushed VERY hard and steady on the inside part of the tail light and the entire assembly BARELY started to move. Hitting the tail light with a hammer or rubber mallet won't help in this situation. Firm, steady pressure from a strong point on the inside should work best. Don't pry from the outside with a screwdriver. You are asking for a crack.

wtf?? hammer?
just get a nice heat gun....warm up the ENTIRE piece. it'll take some time..but once the glue oftens it'll pull apart. go SLOWWWW or it'll crack. if it's still hard to move it then apply more heat...but don't stay in one spot or else it'll melt the lense.
