Alright...on my way to work, I cant help but notice this Prelude. Its an 88-91 Lude Si. Its got a LOUD trumpet sounding muffler. This car is in GREAT shape tho. No rust, scratches, dents..it was looking good. Even the stock rims looked new.

Were at a 3 lane road. Hes in the middle lane, in front. Im in the right lane, behind a Cadillac. I know hes going to take off. Theres no traffic in front of us by now. Light turns green and he nails it. I cant behind him because the semi behind him hasnt let me get behind him. I shift from 1 to 2. I finally get enough room and punch it. By this time hes got some distance on me, I couldnt help that part. I pound through the gears...2...3...4...It seemed like I was barely gaining on him. We were racing up a fairly steep hill and I was pretty impressed with it. I check the speedo...105...110...By now were on the downside of this hill. We start catching up to traffic. It was obvious they didnt see us coming. My common sense kicked in and I let off. He kept on flying. Whatever.

I call it a draw. This Si was a 5spd and I could only tell he had exhaust done. I dont think I did too bad. I bet he couldnt believe this 4dr grocery-go-getter-child-saftely-seat-hauling car was behind him the whole way. Man I love my Max.

 

i raced an 88-91 lude si a while back. nice car, he had a big ole fart pipe, lowered, rims. we were at the light and he looks over and he starts to rev and rock back and forth (darn 5spd!). he snickers to himself thinking that i'll be an easy kill. i was snickering to myself that this guy is a moron. well needless to say he kills me off the line (stupid auto) i did manage to chirp the tires though! he's banging through the gears, and by second gear i'm pulling on him so hard. midway through third gear i'm even with him. he has this astonished look on his face. after that it was over, i walked him pretty bad. he ended up losing by a car length. he felt like an idiot, i just laughed at him. i figured he'd beat me, i'm not sure how fast those are. but from what i know that body style isnt too quick. now, if only i had a 5spd.....
